Our social media team creates and curates content that entertains, informs and connects Bruins in a real-time global neighborhood. Online Together UCLA was created to unite Bruins isolated during the lockdown by highlighting the virtual events that UCLA offered each day. The engagement was immediate and positive as Bruins saw the Association’s robust programming and had a way to fulfill their need for social connections during the pandemic. Each morning, posts on Facebook and Instagram highlight a featured event, provide a callout for each event happening that day, and give notice of events coming up in the next three days. In addition, each frame includes a swipe up to the Alumni events calendar (except the featured event, which goes to the dedicated Facebook event) for more information. In a typical 14-day period, Online Together UCLA has more than 42,000 impressions, an average of 3,000+ impressions each day.
